This professional development series provides space for advisor self-reflection, applied learning, and to dig deeper into advising skills and philosophy. Participants will have opportunities to consider and plan for their continued career development, as well as share current best practices & challenges in their work spaces.
Experienced Advisor Academy is currently on hiatus. More information will become available if the program resumes in spring 2023.
-
Who is eligible to participate?
The Experienced Advisor Academy is designed for advisors with 5 or more years of advising experience, on or off the UW-Madison campus.
If you have questions, please reach out to Emily at emily.dickmann@wisc.edu.
-
Can I participate if I cannot attend all of the sessions?
Yes, you can! Advisors are invited to register for single sessions, a few sessions, or the entire series.
-
What is the time commitment?
Each session is 2 hours and will be held monthly, January-June 2019. There may occasionally be outside reading or reflection that will be helpful to complete before or after a session. This is not required, but will be highly encouraged to ensure you (and your colleagues) get the most out of each session.
