First-Year Interest Groups (FIGs)

A FIG is a group of classes, (usually three) that small groups of first-year students enroll in together. They are generally built around a specific topic like literature, biology, food, art, etc. FIG groups often study together and socialize outside the classroom. Enrolling in a FIG can help you:

  • Meet other students
  • Connect with faculty
  • Explore majors, careers, and  interests
