Exploring Majors & Certificates

There are many different ways you can explore majors and certificates on campus:

Advisors in CCAS help students who are undecided, undeclared, and need some help getting started. They can help you explore your interests and get connected to resources. This is a good place to start if you have general questions about exploring, choosing, declaring, or changing majors.

CEC has many resources to help you explore career options, including career advisors, workshops, assessments, and a career library. You can also browse Majors by Interest Area on their website.

The Majors Fair

The Majors Fair is offered each Fall semester through the Career Exploration Center. Browse over 100 departments, majors, and certificate programs from across all 8 undergraduate schools and colleges!

Self-Assessments

Self-assessments are a tool to help you evaluate your interests, values, strengths and personality. Schedule an appointment with a Career Exploration Advisor to get started.

Workshops

Workshops are a great resource for exploring majors. They give an overview of one or more majors and provide opportunities to network with faculty, staff, or current students from the department. They may also discuss career paths that the major(s) prepare you for. See our Calendar for upcoming workshops.
