The Business Learning Center provides tutoring resources for students enrolled in Econ 101, Econ 102, AIS 100, AIS 211, AIS 300, Fin 300, and Business Analytics I and II. We offer drop-in office hours and post practice questions to our course-specific sites as well as provide twice-weekly group small group tutoring (not-for-credit registration required on a first-come basis). If you’re enrolled in a BLC-supported course you’ll see one of our “BLC—Coursename” sites on your Dashboard when you log into Learn or Courses; just click on that BLC link to get information for your particular course!

Our Mission is to provide a supportive learning environment for students that lack either confidence or competence in the mathematical tools and methods used in the introductory and pre-business curriculum.

What Makes Us Unique . . . BLC tutorials are class-based and use modern Active Learning methods to engage and support participating students. BLC TA's are all graduate students in the field they tutor, regularly attend the lectures for the courses they support, and have a close working relationship with course instructors. Students with busy schedules may choose only to use the practice questions and handouts posted to the BLC site, or to make use of drop-in office hours, if they do not wish to commit to coming twice weekly to our group tutoring sessions, but we do offer something for everyone.
